VTpass is cutting soap o. Due to the VTpass Increase Your Earning Webinar training we recently deployed, our trade partners are now earning as much as N250,000 extra income monthly. That’s how much you’re missing out on if you missed the training. The Trade Partner webinar was aimed at achieving capacity development for VTpass users, to help you take advantage and not only spend, but also earn on the VTpass platform.
How it went down
This is the maiden edition of the training and it attracted over 6000 of our terminal agents across the country. These agents were grouped into sessions that were spread out. 2020 has changed the way people work. More people are going online to look for ways to make more money for themselves instead of being full-time employees. This is one of the issues the webinar sought to address.
It was an amazing interactive atmosphere from start to finish. Attendees teemed with questions that were all attended to. Our team also received some really exciting feedback as we took polls which sparked engagement among attendees.
WHO CAN BE A TRADE PARTNER?
You may have missed the training, but it’s not too late for you to join our team of super agents who are now cashing out monthly to the tune of N250,000, just by “spreading the word.” Anyone can be a Trade Partner, you do not have to be a terminal agent, all you need is an ability to have downlines and they make the money for you while you concentrate on other pursuits. Learn all about Trade Partners here.
We know you definitely do not want to miss out on this massive goldmine. That’s why we are giving you the opportunity to join our group of super agents and make more money for yourself! Just click here to join now.

When we set up the auto-wallet funding feature on VTpass, our aim was to make wallet funding super easy. And we did.
However, recent development has made virtual wallet funding difficult; starting with Providus bank discontinuing support for virtual accounts to subsequent deactivation of automatic wallet funding.
While we are currently working to restore auto-wallet funding by assigning new virtual accounts to our customers, we have reactivated manual wallet funding as an alternative to serve you within this period.
How to fund your VTpass wallet manually
To fund your VTpass wallet manually, simply make payment into any of the following bank accounts:
Stanbic IBTC Bank Broadshift Technologies Ltd 0034565819
Providus Bank Broadshift Technologies Ltd 5400381948
After you have made payment, use the payment notification page to alert us of your payment. Here’s how to do so:
Login to your VTpass account using your username and password
Navigate to and click on “Quick Tools”
Click on “Payment Notification”
Fill the simple payment notification form
Once sent, VTpass would be notified of your payment and upon confirmation, your payment would reflect on your wallet.
New virtual account numbers would be resigned to account holders upon restoration of the auto-wallet funding service.
For help or further inquiries, contact VTpass customer support via Live-Chat, emailing support@vtpass.com, or calling 08138752358.

It’s been all hot. Real hot; since MultiChoice announced in June that the 5th season of the Big Brother Naija (bbnaija) reality TV show premieres on July 19th, 2020.
Pulses have risen, eyes raised, hands robbing together as millions of fans wonder what to expect from this year’s edition.
If you’re like us standing at the door trying to peck inside? Don’t flex a muscle! We’ve got you covered. Here are 5 things to expect from this year’s BBNaija reality TV show, Season 5:
1. Bigger Prize Money
When the show organizers claimed that this year’s prize money was going to be bigger, they weren’t joking. A whopping N85 million awaits the King or Queen who conquers the house. N85 million!
The breakdown of the grand prize for BBNaija season five includes an N30m cash prize; a two-bedroom apartment courtesy Revolution Plus; a top of the range SUV from Nigerian automaker, Innoson Motors; a trip to Dublin courtesy Guinness; home appliances courtesy Scanfrost; a trip to Dubai packaged by Travelbeta; a year’s supply of Indomie noodles, Munch it and Colgate toothpaste; a year’s supply of Pepsi, a branded chiller and a trip to watch the UEFA Champions League finale; and a brand new Oppo mobile smartphone.
By far, this is the biggest prize for a TV reality show in Africa. Imagine what you could do with all those goodies!
2. COVID-19 safety measures
The organizers mentioned earlier that they would be taking precautions to keep the housemates safe and coronavirus-free in season five of the show.
We shouldn’t be surprised to see health workers in the house performing health screenings or frequently disinfecting the house in the course of the show. This should be fun.
However, we wouldn’t see any live audience at the Sunday eviction show or external visitors like celebrities or BBNaija Ninjas in the house this year. Ouch.
Carefully tested measures have been put in place to ensure minimal contact with outsiders once the housemates enter the house.
Oh-my-godrelationships, wowfriendships, hahahafights; these are the little things that keep us glued to the show.
We have seen several relationships in previous seasons and some definitely led to marriage. Teddy A and BamBam got married last year and gave us our Big Brother Naija baby.
Yeah, we know some relationships didn’t end so well, but it’s always exciting witnessing the build-up process. Season 5 wouldn’t be any different!
4. More fun games, unpredictable twists
BBNaija without the mind twists is definitely not BBNaija. Last year, just when the housemates thought that they have seen more than enough, Big Brother brought in five more housemates in just one week. The introduction of Venita, Elozonam, Enkay, Joe, and Cindy definitely spiced things up.
What about the Ultimate Veto Power given to housemates to nominate other housemates for possible eviction?
When it comes to games, BBNaija sure got it. Perhaps Betway or Guinness Nigeria would put together one of those games that always leads to drama and exciting conversations thereafter.
It’s never down to the basics, Biggie always seems to have more tricks under his sleeves.
5. Nerve-pulling Diary sessions
Big Brother is never complete without the fun of the diary room where housemates go to pour out their hearts to Big Brother. Yikes! A lot of things are revealed in that room.
Every season, there are always housemates we refer to them as the Kings and Queens of the Diary room. We always look forward to their sessions.
Omoshola in 2019 (PepperDem) was definitely a King of the Diary room. His sessions were hilarious, exciting, and interesting to watch. He didn’t care if he was using pidgin English and English at the same time or how funny what he said could sound, he just had to say his mind.
Surely, contestants coming into the house this season understands what the diary room means and would be hoping to make the most of it. More entertainment for us! The rule is simple: “say your mind”.
Bonus – A Possible Crossdresser?
This one almost broke the internet, so we decided to make it a bonus. A Nigerian crossdresser known as Jay Boogie took to his Instagram account to ask for a social media account manager as he was going into the house.
For real? Some people affirmed this information was true, others claimed they were lies. Well, we would leave it at that and see what the house brings.
Catch the drama with VTpass
There is just so much fun to expect that you can’t afford to miss.
Subscribe your GOtv or DStv to catch all the drama and intrigue live. Don’t forget to top-up mobile data! Hot stuff and highlights would trend online like ki-lo-de. Trust Twitter and Instagram. Keep the lights on by paying electricity bills.

We love data, don’t we? The invisible glue that connects us to the internet while draining the life out of our wallets as well. Love or hate it, data has become as important as the food we eat. That is why we must learn to manage it efficiently. Many apps we use on our devices contain data-saving settings to help you manage data. The problem is, we just don’t know where to look.
In a previous article, we covered smart ways to save big on mobile data; in this article, we have detailed out data-saving settings on popular apps that you should apply right away if you are looking to browse more data efficiently:
Facebook
Video autoplay consumes the most data on Facebook. You can turn-off autoplay by doing the following:
Tap Menu (the three lines buttons) in the top right.
Scroll down and tap Settings & Privacy > Settings.
Scroll down and tap Media and Contacts (for iPhones users, you would select Videos and Photos before you proceed)
Tap Autoplay.
Select Never Autoplay Videos.
You can control how fast Facebook pictures loads by adjusting how many photos you want to see. To do this:
Tap Settings & Privacy at the bottom of the screen.
Tap General.
Tap Edit next to Data Usage.
Choose Less or Normal or More
Click Save.
Instagram
By default, Instagram preloads videos so they start faster whenever possible. To use less data on Instagram:
Go to your profile and tap the Menu button (the three-line icon)
Tap Settings below the Menu page.
Tap Account > Cellular Data Use.
Next to Use Less Data (iPhone) or Data Saver (Android), toggle on.
WhatsApp
Videos sent to you on WhatsApp can download automatically even when you don’t want to play it? To disable video autoplay on WhatsApp:
Tap the three vertical dots on the top right > Settings.
Now tap Chat settings > Media auto-download. (You’ll see three options: When using cellular data, When connected on Wi-Fi and When roaming)
Tap each one and disable auto-downloads by unchecking all three options – Images, Audio, and Video.
For iPhone users:
Open WhatsApp and tap the Settings button at the bottom-right, and tap on Data and Storage Usage.
In this menu, you will see the Media Auto-Download option on the top.
For Photos, Audio, Videos, and Documents, select the Never option.
Twitter
Like Facebook, Twitter also has an autoplay feature embedded in the app. You can disable this by following these steps:
Go to your Twitter profile icon
Click on Settings and Privacy
Select Data Usage
Set video autoplay to Never
YouTube
The video king app consumes a lot more data than most apps. To limit data usage on YouTube:
Tap on your profile icon on the option right corner
Select Settings
Click on General
Turn on Limit Mobile Data Usage
Google PlayStore
Apps auto-updates over mobile data are the main data drainer when it comes to PlayStore. You can choose to auto-update only over Wi-Fi or never auto-update. To disable mobile data auto-updates, do the following:
Open PlayStore
Click on Menu > Settings
Click on Auto-update Apps
Select Auto-update Apps over Wi-Fi Only (or you can choose Do Not Auto-Update Apps)
iPhone AppStore
Similar to PlayStore, apps on iPhone would auto-update by default unless you disable this feature or set it to Wi-Fi only. To do this:
Go to Settings on your iPhone
Click on iTunes and App Store
Turn off the apps you do not want to update
Turn off auto-update over mobile data below the menu
Manage your Sync Settings
While this is not an app, it is important to know that Google on Andriod and Apple on iPhone regularly sync with your phone data such as videos and pictures automatically. This is to provide backing and retrieval of data in case you lost your device, but it equally consumes a lot of data.
To manage your sync settings on Andriod:
Go to Settings
Click on Account Option
Click on the App whose sync settings you want to adjust
Turn off sync on apps you don’t need synchronizing
For iPhone users:
Open iTunes
Connect your device to a computer
Select your connected device from the Top device button
Go to Options in Summary Sections
Disable Automatic sync when this iPhone is connected
Close iTunes for change to take effect
Conclusion
Hopefully, these details save you more data for efficient browsing. Don’t forget that these settings apply to all mobile networks: MTN, Airtel, 9mobile, and Glo. If you are using a Wi-Fi connection such as Smile, you might need to go through the Wi-Fi settings to see how to manage data or reach out to Smile support.
You know that odd feeling you get when you’re two weeks into your one-month mobile data plan and your network provider sends you that heart-breaking message; “Dear Customer…”? Ahhh!
That thing dey pain eh! You start wondering how the data finished so fast, what you did with it and why it just can’t last for 30 days as provided by your network. I know how that feels, we’ve all been there.
In this age of increased internet activities, video streaming, social networking, pop-up ads, music streaming, and tons of data-hungry apps fighting for attention on our mobile phones, data has become a vital commodity and should be managed like scare goods. If not, you might find your data bills punching huge holes in your pocket every month.
When you go through some people’s phones, you would start wondering whether they are selling apps. Most apps update themselves or run in the background using data. Others are notification-enabled and would send you notifications every now and then. Learn to keep only apps that you NEED. If you don’t use an app for months, what is it doing on your phone?
2. Monitor your data usage
Most smartphones are contain data usage monitor and settings so that you can monitor and limit the amount of data you use over a period of time. Been aware of the activities or applications that drain your mobile data is the first step to learning how to save mobile data. Once you know your enemy apps, easily set up data limits and alerts to tell when you exceed data limits in Settings menu.
3. Restrict Apps from running in background
You see all those apps you use daily but consumes data even when you are not using them, their medicine is to simply disable them from running in the background through Settings. However, these background feature allows apps to update themselves and complete tasks even when you move to another app. So be sure to know if you need an app to run in the background before you disable this feature. Stopping apps from running in the background helps reduce data consumption and also preserves your device’s battery life.
4. Curtail online video streaming
Perhaps this one should have come first. We simply love those funny videos, highlights and other video content that consume most of your mobile data. Excessive streaming of videos, music, high quality images or GIF files, are data pits. You need to entertain yourself responsibly to save data. If you can’t avoid the entertainment your smartphone brings, you can set the image quality or resolutions at lower rates in your Settings menu.
5. Use Wi-Fi Only for Updates or Downloading Heavy Files
A big way to save mobile data is by setting your smartphone to auto-updates only when on Wi-Fi connection. We know we haven’t gotten to the stage of unlimited Wi-Fi connection in Nigeria yet, still there are certain locations you can count on for free Wi-Fi. This way, you get to save some significant volume of the data that goes into oblivion from auto-updates. Furthermore, you can set downloads of heavy contents such as videos, high-resolution images and music files on Wi-Fi Only too.
6. Caching and preload data
Caching enables you enjoy preloaded content at any time, without using further mobile data. A cache is a hardware or software component that stores data so future requests for that data can be served faster. The data stored in a cache might be the result of an earlier computation or the duplicate of data stored elsewhere. Certain apps allow you to store data temporarily so you can cache as much content as possible. You don’t need further data to access cached data while they are available.
To buy data instantly from your mobile phone at no extra cost, simply visit vtpass.com, select your network provider, and buy data you. No matter your network provider: MTN, Airtel, Glo, 9mobile or Smile data, VTpass got you covered.
